The Shadow Dancer: I know I'm technologically backward, but this is RIDICULOUS!
Since January 2007, The Shadow Dancer has been bringing her opinion on live and local music to the people of Dubbo, Orange and Bathurst... Whether they like it or not! Find out what's happening west of the Blue Mountains and meet your new favourite band in this monthly podcast, celebrating everything that's great about good music.
Since January 2007, The Shadow Dancer has been documenting her musical journeys across the Central West of New South Wales, reviewing just about every band she stumbles across, from the crappiest cover band to the biggest names to cross the Blue Mountains, first as an anonymous blogger, and now as a podcast. In that time, she's made notes about Thirsty Merc, Very Unique Existence, Altitude, The Trivs, Gobolion, Deprivation, Six, Dead Modern, Frenzal Rhomb, Mammal, bluejuice, The _____ _____'s, The Charlie Lions, The References and many more! (With many more to come!) Things are on the up and up for this little pain-in-the-arse punter, with her work being noted in newsletters, getting her through to second rounds of national talent competitions and nabbing her a spot on 2MCE since 2008. (You can currently catch her from 4pm - 6pm on Thursday afternoons, AEST on 92.3 Bathurst, 94.7 Orange and online via 2mce.org) So why the f*&^ does she do it? It's because she has a huge passion for supporting the local music scenes in Dubbo, Orange, Bathurst and the surrounding areas, and wants to make sure you have everything you need to know about which bands to see when you're out and about town!
